Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Ready aside.

One time the pie crusts have thawed, roll out and create rectangles for the popular tarts. We were able to create 4 rectangles from 1 pie chaff canvas, which meant 8 rectangles per box. Y'all should have sixteen rectangles full (or at least an even number).

Fix the rectangles bated. In a medium sauce pan add the mixed berry fruit, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and cornstarch.

Stir until everything has combined and the mixture has thickened (most 10 minutes). Pour into a bowl and allow the filling to cool in the refrigerator for about 20 mins.

As the mixture is cooling you can make your egg wash, simply crack i egg into a bowl and add together the tablespoon of water, whisk together.

Once y'all are set up to assemble, place 8 of the rectangles downward on to the cookie sheet. So add two spoonfulls of filling to each rectangle.

Adjacent, place the remaining viii rectangles on height of the fillings and, using a fork, press down around the edges to seal your pop tarts.

Before you place your popular tarts into the oven, brush the tops with the egg wash.

Next, place the pop tarts into the oven for eight minutes. Remove and cover but the crimped edges with foil and place back into the oven for two more minutes, until the tops are aureate brown.

Finally, remove from the oven and allow them cool on a cooling rack. If desired, add a coat (mix 1 cup of powdered sugar, three tablespoons of half and half, gel food coloring (optional) in bowl and add to popular tarts) and sprinkles on top. Savour!

Pretty simple, right?
